FREMANTLE BEEFS UP GLOBAL DRAMA DIVISION

Monday 21st February 2022

Olivia Sleiter and Robert Delamere join Christian Vesper’s unit

Fremantle has hired Olivia Sleiter and Robert Delamere to its global drama division as head of production and creative producer, respectively.

Sleiter will work across the super-indie’s global productions and forthcoming co-productions with significant investment from Fremantle International. A seasoned industry exec, she has worked with many Italian production companies before joining Fremantle’s Wildside where she executive produced shows including Anna and In Treatment.

“From nurturing our production talent and ensuring best practise across the business, Sleiter’s global view will elevate our production ambitions, ensuring we continue to deliver outstanding dramas and films for years to come,” stated Christian Vesper, president of global drama at Fremantle.

As creative producer, Delamere will work on the development and production of scripted projects, as well as bringing in IP and building a strong roster of creative talent. He joins from Storyglass, the scripted podcast label which was spun out of Fremantle’s global drama department to become a standalone division of Bertelsmann UK. Delamere, who founded digital arts platform Digital Theatre, will remain a producer and consultant for Storyglass following his move.

“Delamere is perfectly positioned to source the kind of original projects that are the lifeblood of what we produce here at Fremantle,” Vesper added.

“Building the team with this calibre of industry expert will enable us to increase our delivery of high-quality dramas as we continue to serve the global audience.”

Both appointments follow the recent promotion of Julie Hodge to VP of editorial, global drama.
